Select Machining Technologies (SMT), a provider of advanced manufacturing solutions for large components, has announced a strategic partnership with Ibarmia, a provider of multitasking machining technology. The partnership establishes Select as the exclusive importer of Ibarmia's cutting-edge technology in the USA, with local support to be delivered through Select's distributor channel anchored by Morris, Hartwig, Gosiger and Arizona CNC.

The partnership marks a significant milestone for both companies and aims to bring state-of-the-art multitasking machining capabilities to industries where precision cannot be compromised, such as aerospace, defense, power generation, industrial vehicles and beyond. More specifically, the technology and expertise focus on solutions for large, complex components, typically 30" cube and larger.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with Ibarmia in the U.S.," said Seth Machlus, General Manager at Select Machining Technologies. "This collaboration enables us to offer our customers additional highly customizable multitasking machining solutions for their largest and most complex parts."

"Ibarmia is renowned for its precision engineering and commitment to pushing the boundaries of machining technology," said a spokesperson. "Its multitasking machining solutions integrate turning, milling and grinding operations in a single machine, providing unparalleled efficiency and versatility for manufacturers seeking to optimize their production processes."

"With Select's technical expertise and well-established distributor channel, our partnership is sure to open up new opportunities for Ibarmia while growing our brand," added Eleazar Raya, Global Business Director at Ibarmia. "We have strategically aligned with reputable partners who share our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. This ensures that Ibarmia's machining solutions will be accessible to manufacturers with the support needed to be successful."

As a launching point for the partnership, Select will be showcasing an Ibarmia T-Series 5-axis machining center at IMTS 2024, September 9-14, in booth 339100 along the front row of McCormick Place's South Building. The high-speed multitasking machine will be performing live cutting demonstrations, alongside technology from Soraluce and Geminis, also based in Basque Country of Spain. Attendees to IMTS will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the precision and efficiency of Ibarmia's multitasking machining solutions.
