Mist Collection for Grinding Applications

Royal Products has reported that adding a Cyclonic Swarf Separator to the Royal Filtermist is the perfect solution for difficult applications such as grinding and cast iron machining. Maintenance is minimized in these situations where very fine solid particles are entrained in the mist stream.
How it works:
- Airflow enters the unit tangentially in a downward spiral
- While solid particles continue downward, airflow makes a 180° upwards turn
- Solid particles are drained away by the cyclone, and the mist is then processed by the Filtermist unit.
"The result is no excessive loading of the mist collector with solid particles, greatly reducing maintenance," said a company spokesperson.
