GenSwiss Adds The Whittemore Co. to Sales Network

GenSwiss, provider of tools, accessories and assistance for CNC Swiss machining, announced the addition of The Whittemore Co. to its network of sales representatives. The Whittemore Co. is a manufacturers' representative agency, providing sales and technical support services to the metalworking industries and OEM manufacturers. The Whittemore Co.'s partnership with GenSwiss will service the Midwest states of Illinois, Missouri and Kansas.

GenSwiss was founded in 2002 and the business has evolved with a dedication to the Swiss-style machining industry. GenSwiss brings to market high precision tools and accessories advancing small parts manufacturing and enhancing Swiss-type machine processes.

The Whittemore Co. was founded in 1918, in Chicago, IL, and has a long-established history in technical applications for the metalworking industries and OEM manufacturers in the Upper Midwest. Today, Whittemore covers 10 states and remains committed to helping customers improve efficiency and manufacturing processes while addressing the evolving demands of the industry.

The combination of GenSwiss' extensive knowledge of the Swiss tool industry and Whittemore's expertise in manufacturing will bring greater collaboration in meeting customer demands while advancing precision production capabilities.

According to James Gosselin, President of GenSwiss, both companies will clearly benefit from working together: "We see new growth opportunities, and this is a good time to join our company as we continue to grow while expanding and upgrading our manufacturing capabilities."

For example, GenSwiss and Swiss based Utilis AG merged in 2023 to increase their North American and European markets. In addition, GenSwiss is planning to expand its building space and purchased additional grinding machinery to support the U.S. shop's continued growth over the years.

The Whittemore Co.'s machining experience allows them to be experts in a variety of products, while also providing troubleshooting services for sales and technical issues.

Dave Zaval, President of The Whittemore Co., said, "Partnering with GenSwiss will allow us to expand our knowledge of Swiss tooling to further assist our customers, as well as expose us to new challenges we may not have been able to solve in the past."
