Mazak will host its annual Discover More With Mazak Event at its Western Technology Center in Gardena, CA, June 5-8.
Attendees of this technology and learning event will sharpen their manufacturing productivity practices while discovering how automation can boost the output of both people and machines on the shop floor.
At this event, Mazak will showcase the latest advancements in Multi-Tasking technology and a wide variety of cost-effective automation solutions - from simple to complex - that can enable unmanned operations and increase spindle utilization. The capabilities of 17 of Mazak's latest machine tools will be demonstrated as application engineers perform a variety of real-life part cutting demonstrations.
One of the machines in action will be the VC-500A/5X vertical machining center (VMC). With a trunnion-style rotary/tilt table and new 60-tool capacity magazine, the VC-500A/5X allows for the accurate, cost-effective processing of small complex parts via full 5-axis machining while reducing valuable set-up time. In addition, several INTEGREX series machines will demonstrate how advanced Multi-Tasking efficiently produces complex components.
More than 10 different robots completing different manufacturing tasks will also be on display. Several machines - including the QUICK TURN 250 turning center and the MULTIPLEX 6200 turning center with Multi-Tasking capability - will be paired with cost-effective automation systems to demonstrate how easy it is to gain versatility, flexibility and productivity with the right automation solution. The QUICK TURN 250 will feature a prepackaged robotic loading system that maximizes profit potential by enabling unmanned operation, while the duel-spindle, dual-turret MULTIPLEX 6200 will have a gantry loader that speeds loading and unloading.
Mazak and several of its value inspired partners (VIPs) will present a series of TEK talks on some of the industry's latest trends and techniques. Attendees will learn how SMOOTH TECHNOLOGY, a process-performance platform that brings speed, accuracy and functionality to metalworking applications, and discover how easy it is to securely enter the world of IIoT with the Mazak SmartBox.
