Tapeswitch Corporation offers a new programmable mini safety laser scanner solution for simple through complex machine/area guarding applications. "This addition expands our custom/configurable machine guarding solutions consisting of mats, light curtains, laser scanners, non-contact safety switches and trapped key - interlocks and PCU Control Unit based on machine user/builder applications," said a company spokesperson. "Our strategy is to assist users with a fully zoned and programmable safety laser scanner that takes into consideration multiple machine guarding application requirements with two warning ranges and one protective range with the capabilities of handling up to 16 pattern configurations for complex applications."
Equipped with a beginner mode, flexible configuration of the protection zone and warning zone, muting, reference boundary feature and disabled zone configurations, the safety laser scanner is designed to be a versatile machine guarding device. It meets Laser Class 1, Type 3, CAT 3 SIL2 PLd (ISO 13849-1, UL508, UL1998, IEC61508).
