Valence Surface Technologies, an independent metal finish company focused on the aerospace and electronics industries, has acquired the assets and operations of Flextronics San Carlos in San Carlos, CA. Under Valence ownership, the business now operates under the name Valence San Carlos. Other than the name change, day-to-day business at Valence San Carlos will continue as normal. Valence San Carlos maintains its existing assets, approvals and permits as well as its entire employee base and management team, ensuring business continuity with no operational disruption.
John "Tony" Garin, Plant Manager of Valence San Carlos, said, "We are excited to join Valence. The combination of our services with our new sister companies, such as CSL in Santa Clara, enables us to offer expanded capabilities and reduced supply chain costs to our combined customer base."
In combination with CSL in Santa Clara, Valence operates two special processors in northern California servicing the semiconductor, aerospace and satellite, laser, microwave and medical device markets. CSL and Valence San Carlos operate two facilities totaling 50,000 sq. ft. and provide a comprehensive service offering and approval base. Across the two sites, Valence offers a diverse range of anodizing, chemfilm, passivate, precious metal plating, electroless nickel plating, electro-polish, bead blast, complex masking and UHV clean and packaging, including class 100 and 1000 cleanrooms. Valence offers a full range of surface treatments, available capacity and redundant capabilities for risk mitigation.
