UNITED GRINDING North America, Inc. will highlight methods for creating tool performance using the latest advancements in grinding at a tool event on July 22-23, 2015, at its facility in Fredericksburg, VA. Attendees will also get a sneak peek of a brand new, highly efficient two-in-one machine with a minimal footprint that provides eroding and grinding of PCD and carbide tools in one set-up, according to the company.
During the two-day event, representatives from the company will conduct 12 knowledge sessions. Organized into three different learning tracks, attendees can register for the sessions that focus on the topics of their choice.
Track 1 concentrates on conventional grinding. It includes sessions on how to optimize machine results and a presentation of the facts on flute positioning in grinding wheels. Those choosing Track 1 will also see machine demonstrations on a variety of conventional grinding tools including the WALTER HELITRONIC MICRO, WALTER HELITRONIC POWER and EWAG COMPACT LINE.
Track 2 presents attendees with opportunities to attend sessions on super hard materials. They will also hear firsthand about a job shop owner's experience with vacuum brazing, and see demonstrations of grinding, eroding and lasering super hard materials with the EWAG LASER LINE ULTRA, WALTER HELITRONIC POWER DIAMOND with robot and the latest WALTER HELITRONIC machine, which will make its debut at the event.
Track 3 focuses on some of the peripheral components that enhance quality. Sessions will cover measuring technology and why it is needed, a presentation of information on grinding coolant and its importance on surface finish, and demonstrations on WALTER measuring machines, including the HELICHECK 3D, HELISCALE and the HELICHECK PLUS with robot.
Alternate sessions are available throughout the day. These include one-on-one demonstrations of HELITRONIC TOOL STUDIO, the latest generation in grinding software including the new features and Plug-ins, an overview of the Customer Care Kiosk and a session on Machine Data Monitor (MDM).
"This event is an excellent opportunity for manufacturers to quickly and easily get information about various types of new technology and techniques that will help them improve productivity and surface quality," said Markus Stolmar, Vice President of Tool and Measurement Sales for UNITED GRINDING North America, Inc.
An optional, casual-attire evening event on July 22 and 23 is also available for attendees. Transportation to and from the hotel will be provided. Registration for the Tool Event can be found at www.grinding.com/toolevent.
