Quickly Remove Rust, Scale, Mineral Deposits, and More

Madison Chemical offers DART 151 X-R, a concentrated blend of acids and surfactants that penetrates and removes scales, rust, hard water and mineral sales, and more from all manner of industrial manufacturing equipment, including heat exchangers. With moderate to high foam characteristics, DART 151 X-R can be applied manually, by foam, or via immersion methods to clean even difficult-to-reach areas. It is acceptable for use in food and beverage plants as an A3 acid cleaner in all departments. It is suited for a wide range of cleaning applications in varied industrial facilities and manufacturing plants.

DART 151 X-R is safe to use on stainless steel alloys when used as directed. It produces a controlled etch on aluminum, copper, and ferrous alloys. This versatile cleaner is typically used at 5 to 25% by volume in water at 70 °F to 160 °F for treatment of rust, scale, hard water, and mineral deposits. To speed the cleaning action for heavy deposits, use at 50% by volume with water to full strength. Conditions of use vary considerably due to the extent of and differences in soils and deposits, as well as the base materials from which they are removed. Madison technical sales representatives are available to assist in determining dilution rates and contact times.

Before using DART 151 X-R, food products and packaging materials must be removed from the room or carefully protected. After use, all surfaces must be thoroughly rinsed with potable water.
