Fluid Reclaim Hoppers Allow the Removal of Liquids from Waste Material

Iron Bull Manufacturing has introduced fluid reclaim hoppers. These seam-welded hoppers allow the collection of waste with oil, water and other fluids, with a trough that leads to a drain so that the fluid can be easily drained off for reclamation, re-use, or disposal.

A heavy-duty mesh screen keeps shavings and other small particles from entering the liquid stream, while a 3/4" brass valve, which withstands oils, cutting fluids, coolants, and more, allows the removal of the fluid. Seals help ensure safe operation with no leaks. Iron Bull Heavy Duty Fluid Reclaim Hoppers are available from 1/4 yard to 7 yards with capacity to 7,000 lbs., making them suited for machine shops and metalworking facilities of all sizes. They are designed for the separation of coolants, cutting fluids, and oils from chips in machining operations, or anywhere that fluids need to be separated from scrap materials.

Each Iron Bull Fluid Reclaim Hopper features a self-dumping, pinless rocker design that keeps hoppers on track for years of smooth, trouble-free dumping, the company reported.

"Traditional designs include pins to keep the hopper aligned for dumping; however, the pins often break off introducing misalignment, which creates problems when dumping," said a company spokesperson. "Iron Bull eliminated this design flaw with a unique pinless rocker for smooth dumping. A wraparound welded lip on the back corners enhances structural integrity, with welded reinforcing angle along the top edge and an additional gusset for strength and durability. All models feature base cross tie channel construction with open face down, for extra strength and to prevent debris build-up, and hopper sides that extend past hopper bottom for more strength."

Optional Push-n-Dump or Dump-from-Seat are available, allowing operators to quickly and easily dump from the safety of the forklift seat. Casters can also be added to easily move the hoppers around the shop floor.

Iron Bull manufactures a wide range of hoppers to suit many scrap handling needs, including some with Quick Ship convenience. All Iron Bull Hoppers are built in Marshall, IN. Iron Bull engineers are available to assist with sizing and other questions.
