Advancements in AM to be Featured
April 1, 2020
At RAPID + TCT 2020, Fagor Automation will present its latest advancements in additive manufacturing (AM) with the all-new Additive Pack, featured on the 8065 CNC system.
"Due to its open design and multi-process support, the 8065 CNC control is the ideal answer to both pure additive machines and hybrid machines," said a company spokesperson. The controller regulates melting pool temperature, regular layer deposition, laser/wire arc power, continuous toolpath movement and powder/wire flow.
Features included in the Additive Pack:
- Technological Materials/Parameters Tables System: The information related to materials and the additive process is organized to provide simple and intuitive management of all process related data. It is fully customizable by the OEM and the high level user.
- Pulse-Width Modulation: Used to control an operating cycle of the laser signal, thus allowing the user to modify the laser beam power.
- Power Control Based on Feed: Control the laser power depending on the speed of the laser nozzle path to maintain a smooth and uniform disposition.
- Closed Loop Process Control: The 8065 control system can integrate an OEM's full closed loop process control without the need of another PC.
