Hybrid Lasers for Automated Sheet Metal Fabrication

Murata Machinery USA has engineered its latest advancements in value-added sheet metal fabrication with the LS3015HL and LS2515HL Advanced Hybrid Lasers. Designed to provide enhanced quality and throughput along with reduced operating and maintenance costs, the LS3015HL and LS2512HL are suitable for large-volume production runs, short-run, multi-tool set-ups and sample parts.

The LS3015HL and LS2512HL Hybrid Lasers are multi-function machines with fiber laser processing. To maximize the capabilities of the fiber laser, processing is performed on the laser pallet by the flying optics system. The Hybrid Lasers also provide seamless table shift transfer from cutting to forming to maintain quality throughout the processes. The fork units transfer the materials from the laser slats to the brush table, utilizing work clamps to keep materials from shifting during the transition.

Equipped with upper and lower servo drives, forming operations are performed on a stable brush table, which allows for the adjustment of all forming profiles. The Hybrid Lasers also support servo-controlled tapping for a large variety of machine and roll-type taps. Automatic chip vacuum, tap lubrication, tap breakage sensor and tap life management are included.

Operators can reduce consumption costs while using the Muratec Hybrid Lasers by using filtered shop air instead of standard assist gases while combining fiber laser production with the integrated forming and tapping operations.

For added efficiency, flexibility and production reliability, Muratec's fabrication machines seamlessly integrate with the FG3015TL Parts Sorting Tower Loader. The high-capacity tower enables hours of unattended production through lights-out automated processing, offering total metal fabrication efficiency with advanced servo control technology for axis drive and programmable parts stacking. The FG3015TL also integrates operator processes, including sheet loading, parts sorting, and skeleton unloading, delivering around-the-clock production.
