Check-Mate Celebrates Grand Opening of Second Facility

On August 6, Check-Mate celebrated the grand opening of a second factory with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp as well as industry and community leaders.

"This expansion comes with a $16 million investment and 230 jobs created in Georgia over a five-year time period," said a company spokesperson. "The new facility complements the company's home base factory in Long Island, NY. It increases output and provides consistent production capabilities in the eventuality that either facility's operations pause during a natural disaster."

Check-Mate Industries' products are 100% designed, developed and manufactured in the U.S. Since 1972, the company has operated as a tool & die, stampings and assemblies manufacturer.

"From aerospace and automotive to hardware and communications, Check-Mate's tool room has the capability to handle just about any project, although it is best known for life-saving medical and firearms components," said the spokesperson.

President Joe DeBello said, "We are proud to provide hundreds of skilled labor jobs. These jobs are not only vital to our nation's growth, but also to the state of Georgia. Workforce training programs like Georgia Quick Start are helping us train a skilled workforce."

Chairman of the Board and CEO Regina Vieweg added, "We are proud to open this factory and proud to share the platform with Governor Brian Kemp, Imagine Thomasville's Director Shelley Zorn and the people of Thomasville. Many people have played an important role in this grand opening. We are excited to open our Georgia facility. We have a strong commitment to our customers, our employees and the communities in which we work. We know this expansion will be a long-term success story for everyone."
