Precision Ground Inserts with Four Cutting Edges

WhizGroove inserts have four precision ground cutting edges and come in four different shapes: sharp cutting edges and corners; corner radii; full radius; and slightly honed cutting edges. "It is a great combo of precision, stability and low cost per cutting edge," said a WhizCut spokesperson.
WhizGroove was designed to manage tight tolerance production and achieve consistent quality with +/-0.01 tolerance. WhizCut offers a standard cutting rake of 12° and 2°, 6°, 16° and 20° as special requests. Special designs are available on request.
Customers can operate WhizGroove inserts together with the WhizFix toolholder system and index the inserts in 15 seconds.
For improved productivity with enhanced chip control, WhizCut recommends using WhizHip holders, which provide high pressure coolant through the toolholder.
WhizCut cutting tools are specially developed for CNC Swiss-type automatics. WhizCut offers a complete range of carbide inserts for turning, boring bars, thread mills and micro drills.
