Coordinate Metrology Society Launches Digital Library

The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) recently launched its digital library of original technical papers delivered by metrology experts over the past 12 years at its annual conference - the Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC).

The library is an online archival of over 100 technical papers and journals covering a broad range of industry topics including 3-D measurement, inspection, assembly, best practices, new innovations and more. The release of these valuable assets is meant to further support the research, development and progression of advanced manufacturing, scientific studies, industry standards and Smart Factory initiatives. The CMS library of technical papers and journals can be accessed at www.cmsc.org/technical-papers-journals.

The digital library offers a variety of query tools to locate technical papers and specific topics by keywords, timelines, titles, authors and measurement categories. Listed in descending chronological order, the full selection of technical papers and full issues of the Journal of the CMSC can be downloaded. The printed version of the Journal of the CMSC can be purchased for a fee plus shipping and handling. CMS members in good standing can download all materials for free.

"The CMS is extremely proud of this scientific and technical repository of white papers presented at our conference. There is simply no other source worldwide for this wealth of industry research that measurement professionals can now access and expand upon for their own research projects," stated Scott Sandwith, CMSC Chair, and long-time Presentations Committee member. "Diverse applications of portable, 3-D measurement technologies are represented in this digital library. We are excited to finally open the knowledge vault."
