INDEX Hires New Midwest Sales Representative

INDEX has hired Mark Smith as its Regional Sales Manager for the Midwest. Smith's territory includes Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan and he will be supporting customers in partnership with INDEX's distributors in these states, Methods & Equipment Associates and Technical Equipment.

Smith has nearly 30 years of sales experience within the metalcutting industry, including stints at machine tool builders and distributors representing multi-spindle and Swiss product lines. He has also held positions at cutting tool providers and contract manufacturers, most recently Camcraft, a precision machined components provider. He is taking over territory previously managed by Pierre Michaud, who will be retiring in late 2019.

Smith holds a bachelor's degree in business from Olivet College.
