High Performance Face Mills
May 1, 2016
Greenleaf Corporation's Index-O-Cut face mills have a high-positive, free-cutting design that uses octagon-style inserts to maximize the number of possible indexes.
The design of these face mills allows for light-duty machines to run these cutters at high speeds with reduced spindle load. These mills have large chip gullets that allow chips to flow freely, eliminating chip recutting.
The Index-O-Cut inserts are available in two high-performance, PVD-coated carbide grades that allow for elevated speeds and feeds. G-9120 is designed for high-speed milling of steel castings and forgings and is engineered to maximize productivity at moderate to heavy feed rates and depths of cut. G-915 allows moderate to high feed rates in milling high-temperature alloys, stainless steels and low-carbon steels.
The Greenleaf Index-O-Cut face mills are made of high-alloy steel and are available in both imperial and metric sizes ranging from 2" to 8" (50 mm to 200 mm).
