Techniks to Exhibit at FABTECH

Techniks, Indianapolis based industrial magnet manufacturer, will showcase its latest products at FABTECH 2015, to be held November 9-12, 2015, at McCormick Place, in Chicago, IL.

MagVISE Workholding Chucks

According to Techniks, MagVISE workholding chucks save 50-60% on setup time and allow machining freely on all four-sides plus the top of the workpiece.

“MagVISE chucks are available in a wide variety of types and sizes from dedicated chucks, to modular systems and even custom chucks built to exact specifications,” said Michael Harris, National Sales Manager. “We also make workholding chucks for four and five-axis machining and vertical turning applications.”

EZ-Lift Magnets

Techniks will also be exhibiting its small, powerful EZ-Lift Magnets.

“Applications include loading and unloading all types of ferrous stock including plate, block, or round steel and press molds. Simply center the magnet on the metal to be lifted and turn the lever to engage the magnet,” said Michael Harris, National Sales Manager.

These little lifters feature powerful “rare earth” magnets rated to lift up to 6,600 lbs. Using spreader bars increases capacity up to 13,500 lbs.

According to the manufacturer, lifting magnets improve safety, ease-of-use and speed compared to sling and strap systems.

Injection Mold Clamping Magnets

Techniks mold clamping magnets for all sizes of injection mold machines will also be on display.

“Injection mold clamping magnets are a big improvement over traditional clamping methods because they reduce the time it takes to setup and change molds with features such as proximity sensors for accurate positioning,” said Michael Harris, National Sales Manager. “Also, we have designed our magnet system with total adaptability in mind. The customer’s mold setter can install it right over the existing platens.”

Clamping magnets take up less space, leaving room for fitting larger molds. They eliminate mold deformation due to uniform clamping power and feature powerful, rare earth magnets, ensuring that molds stay firmly clamped—even if a power outage occurs.
