Fiber Laser to be on Display

MC Machinery Systems will display an array of laser, press brake and milling machinery, monitoring software, and automation solutions tailored to fabricators in booth #S1719 at FABTECH 2015, November 9-12 in Chicago, IL. Among the new and updated products debuting at the event are fiber and CO2 laser machines from Mitsubishi, a laser automation system built with fiber speed in mind, and the largest all-electric press brake yet from MC Machinery.

A New Addition to the Mitsubishi Fiber Laser Lineup - The eX-F Series

"The new eX-F Series fiber laser combines the construction of the popular eX Series CO2 lasers and the power and reliability of a Mitsubishi's fiber resonator. The 6 kw machine features new ZOOM Head Technology built in to the magnetic head that is designed for faster processing and the capability to pierce one-inch thick plates," said a company spokesperson.

In testing, the eX-F has demonstrated significant advantages over the conventional Mitsubishi LV-45CF-R CO2 laser in terms of performance and operating cost. Medium- and thick-plate processing times were decreased by 44%. Also, non-process times are cut in half with simultaneous nozzle cleaning, height sensor calibration, nozzle changing and gas purge.

The New Mitsubishi SR CO2 Laser

The SR Series CO2 laser is a new 3,000-watt machine that takes advantage of the latest beam path technology for improved performance on mid- and thick-plate cutting. Faster movement and improved processing has demonstrated finer cut surfaces and decreased cutting time when compared to eX-S Series lasers. Energy-saving ECO Mode also makes for lower operating costs.

The New MSV Laser Automation System

The new MSV laser automation system is the fastest yet from MC Machinery. The system will be demonstrated live throughout the event in a set-up that pairs it with a fiber and CO2 lasers at the same time.

Introducing the BB6020 All-Electric Press Brake

The 4' x 6', 60-ton BB6020 will be on display for the first time at FABTECH. An AC servomotor and ball screw drive enable high-speed movement at 100 mm/sec and stable repeat-stop accuracy. Ram stroke of 150 mm, bending length of 2,100 mm and open height of 280 mm combine to make it easy for operators to remove deep-bend parts from the table.

This series also is the first from MC Machinery with Windows touchscreen controls that allow for offline 3-D programming to be automatically generated at the machine.
