Welding Packages for Pipe Welding and Submerged Arc Welding

Koike Aronson Ransome, a provider of cutting, welding and positioning equipment, offers welding packages. One is designed specifically for pipe welding and the other for submerged arc welding.

The pipe welding package is built for optimum operator usability. It incorporates both the Cricket-I welding manipulator and Koike's standard Wel-Handy Multi Next and WU-3 weaver mounted on the end of the boom. This package is configured to use the 3" x 3" manual cross slide and built-in weaving functionality to automate pipe welding, increasing quality and maximizing productivity. Mounting brackets for control pendants and welding interface are both included at the weld head, keeping all controls conveniently in one place. The Wel-Handy Multi Next is detachable and can also be used as a standalone portable welding machine.

"Koike Aronson Ransome welding packages are designed to increase over-all shop efficiency, saving valuable time and money," explained Cliff White, Welding Product Manager at Koike. Aronson Ransome "We have both an open arc pipe welding package and a SAW package pre-configured for typical applications. Custom and project specific packages can be used depending on the customer's needs."

The SAW package for submerged arc welding includes a 6' x 6' Cricket-II Manipulator with powered lift and manual reach, self-standing base and mast rotation for portability. Mounted to the end of the boom is a manual 6" x 6" cross slide for torch adjustment. Flux hopper and mounting for positioner or turning roll controls and SAW feeder controls are all located at the end of the boom. Straight DC, AC/DC and multiprocess system options are available to meet individual needs.
