TITANS of CNC Join Forces with Haimer USA and Kennametal

(l-r) The HARVI I TE, the KOR 5 and the HARVI III are among the high-performance tooling solutions from Kennametal that power the machining tutorials in the TITANS of CNC Aerospace Academy.

TITANS of CNC has announced partnerships with Haimer USA and Kennametal.

Haimer USA

Titan Gilroy, CEO and founder of TITANS of CNC, is focused on developing and delivering high-level manufacturing education through the TITANS of CNC: Academy and Aerospace Academy. "Over the past few years, TITANS of CNC has reshaped the way manufacturing education is approached and delivered. With its free, online, video-based, step by-step, training system, TITANS of CNC continues to provide real solutions to real manufacturing problems," said a spokesperson.

As part of the collaboration, Haimer USA has introduced various products to Titan so he can implement the HAIMER technology into his academies and teach his students about how HAIMER products provide consistent solutions for machinists to increase their productivity.

"We are excited to be working with Titan and his team," President of Haimer USA Brendt Holden stated. "Through the TITANS of CNC: Academy, together we will be able to educate operators on why our system solution of balancing, presetting, shrinking and measuring are so important to implement in machine shops."

"TITANS of CNC is proud to partner with HAIMER, a world leader in the area of shrink fit, balancing and presetting technology," said Titan. "We are excited to introduce our audience to these incredible products and solutions and we look forward to using them to help teach the trade at the highest level."

"Shrinking is the fastest, most consistent and accurate method of clamping a cutting tool in a toolholder," said a spokesperson. "Balancing has proven to be 100% necessary in all applications for shops looking to gain maximum productivity and spindle life. Tool presetters increase productivity by significantly reducing set-up times while the machine tool is running. These three technologies, along with a state of the art Tool Management cabinetry system, are in place and on display in the TITANS of CNC shop. New educational videos will soon be produced to show this equipment in action in practical uses for any size shop."

Kennametal and TITANS of CNC Launch Aerospace Academy

Kennametal Inc. is partnering with TITANS of CNC on its Aerospace Academy, an online education platform designed to teach programmers and machinists next-generation aerospace machining and manufacturing solutions.

Powered by Kennametal's high-performance tooling solutions, the TITANS of CNC Aerospace Academy offers free courses to machinists to teach them about the materials, tooling and techniques used in advanced aerospace manufacturing. A series of instructional videos and self-paced part building projects are designed to challenge even experienced programmers and machinists. Each tutorial specifies the preferred Kennametal tool for the job, taking the complexity out of tool selection and enabling users to complete each build with confidence and accuracy.

"From our King of Roughing, the KOR 5, to our award-winning HARVI I TE, Kennametal's aerospace solutions are all about helping our customers cut faster, longer and more efficiently," said Ron Port, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Metal Cutting, Kennametal. "Through our partnership with TITANS of CNC, we are making it easy for a broader range of customers than ever before to access the sophisticated tooling and training needed to position themselves to win in aerospace manufacturing over the long term."

"We are proud to partner with Kennametal to create this revolutionary Aerospace Academy, teaching and demonstrating complex aerospace manufacturing techniques in an easy-to-use, online format," said Titan. "We have relied on and trusted Kennametal tooling for the most challenging aerospace applications with tremendous success. Through this new Aerospace Academy, we are teaching students as well as professionals the skills they need to be successful in the aerospace industry."

The Aerospace Academy includes modules on CAD/CAM/CNC machining, automation and business management processes and quoting. It offers a tailored, self-paced learning experience with aerospace projects that take the user from the design concept of an aerospace part through final machining and inspection-with each part of the process documented to ensure successful completion. An included Knowledge Base provides recommendations for feeds and speeds, tooling and approaches needed for success in multiple aerospace applications. The Aerospace Academy is the latest in the TITANS of CNC education series, all powered by Kennametal tooling.
