Leonhardt Manufacturing is celebrating 50 years of excellence in manufacturing. The company specializes in highly decorative tubular products and welded assemblies. Types of products include but are not limited to chairs, handles, motorcycle parts and off-road truck crane jibs. "This 50-year milestone is a result of the company's ongoing commitment to customer service and our outstanding team of dedicated employee-owners," said a company spokesperson.
Leonhardt Manufacturing started in a small Hanover, PA, apartment. Hans Leonhardt, a German tool and die maker, got his start producing light covers for elevators in his kitchen. The small, one-man business has since grown into a multimillion-dollar employee-owned company.
"Celebrating a 50-year milestone says a lot about the resilience of a company," said Jason Jacobs, President/CEO. "We are continually improving our operations through such tools as lean manufacturing and diversifying into new markets and products."
Through the years, Leonhardt Manufacturing has supplied such well-known brands as Harley-Davidson, Manitowoc Crane, Polaris, Segway and JLG. More recently, Leonhardt Manufacturing has expanded into other markets, including commercial furniture, rail seating, municipal utility equipment and motorcycle aftermarket accessories. Many of these products have very high cosmetic standards, whether they are chrome plated, powder coated or polished stainless steel. They not only have to be functional, but they have to be beautiful as well.
"Our ability to deliver high quality finishes on rugged, functional products has always been a key differentiator for us. As we celebrate this important milestone, we value and appreciate the continued support of our loyal customers, suppliers, employees and investors who have made 50 successful years possible," Jacobs said.
