KNUTH Machine Tools USA, a manufacturer and supplier of metalworking machinery, offers a large portfolio of grinding equipment. This includes reciprocating surface, gantry-type surface, cylindrical, cutter-tool and belt / disk grinders.
Located on the outskirts of Chicago, KNUTH's 60,000 square foot facility houses many styles of grinders along with an extensive spare part inventory. "KNUTH has a vested interest in keeping its equipment running smoothly and enforces a strict customer service policy, guaranteeing a call-back to all customers in 30 minutes or less, along with optional installation / training and preventative maintenance programs," said a company spokesperson.
Leading the charge in KNUTH's grinding line-up is the new HFS-B VC series reciprocating surface grinder. The B VC models are a total package that comes standard with a programmable Siemens PLC, magnetic clamping plate and coolant and exhaust system with complete particle filtration.
The B VC reciprocating surface grinder has 0.0001" automatic incremental down feed, with table sizes of 10" x 20" to 16" x 31", grinding wheel sizes from 8" to 14" diameter and spindle motors up to 7.5 HP.
KNUTH also offers a wide variety of cylindrical grinders, both manual and CNC controlled. KNUTH German engineers write custom grinding parameters for the user-friendly Fagor 8055i CNC control. The Fagor 8055i control comes standard on the KNUTH RSM series grinders. The RSM grinders series range in part size capacities from 6" x 20" to 12" x 59".
