Mayfran Announces Steve Carlson as President

Mayfran International, a division of Tsubaki, announced that Steve Carlson has joined its team as President, replacing Frank Sraj, who has retired. Carlson will report to Kevin Powers of U.S. Tsubaki in his new role.

"Carlson was selected as president because of his demonstrated high-level leadership skills and strong understanding of the complex global market, which he most recently honed at Howmet Aerospace as its vice president and general manager for the Asia Pacific region," said a company spokesperson.

In his role, Carlson was responsible for revenues of $150 million, overseeing four plants and 235 people who produced forged aluminum wheels for trucks, buses and trailers serving the commercial transportation markets across the region. He has a successful record of leading high-performance teams and executing innovative strategic plans. Carlson also has a background in sales, which gives him a unique perspective on how to best serve Mayfran's customers moving forward.

"The opportunity to join Mayfran at this moment in its growth was too good to pass up," Carlson said. "We have an incredibly talented team working on improving and expanding our product lines into new industries, and I am thrilled to join Mayfran at such a momentous time to further these developments and deliver new solutions for our customers. I look forward to helping Mayfran and its customers thrive for years to come."

Carlson holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and attended Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management for executive education.

"We are lucky to have someone of Steve's caliber willing to take over during this unprecedented time of growth for Mayfran," Powers said. "His energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and we are looking forward to continuing Mayfran's international expansion under his leadership to best serve our customers worldwide."
