Franklin Bronze Precision Components Adds Mill Drill Turning Center

Franklin Bronze Precision Components has announced the purchase of a new Doosan Puma GT 2600M Mill-Drill Turning Center. The high-performance turning center gives the in-house machine shop greater capacity with live tooling plus the ability to mill, tap and drill.
Franklin Bronze partnered with Allegheny Machine Tool Systems for the purchase and installation of the Puma turning center.
"The machine's live tooling allows us to turn and mill castings in one set-up. It will greatly improve productivity and throughput while adding capacity," said John Mangoyan, General Manager.
Designed for heavy interrupted cutting, long-term accuracy and enhanced surface finishes, the Puma GT 2600M enables machinists to complete jobs quickly with fewer operations.
