Swiss-Type Lathe for Small Diameter Parts

Star CNC offers the SL-10 Swiss-type automatic lathe for processing complex, small diameter components required for the medical, aerospace and electronics industries.
The SL-10 utilizes a single gang-type tool post for turning and cross drilling/milling for multiprocessing in a space-saving vertical layout-a new design concept. Simultaneously, the dynamic main spindle and faster power-driven tools are optimally designed for machining smaller diameter components.
The 6-spindle unit with Y2-axis control for backworking has two spindles in three rows and can mount up to four power-driven tool units in their respective positions. This enhanced multiprocessing capability in backworking contributes to reduced cycle times through the efficient splitting of processes.
