Laser Cutting Technology Optimizes Productivity, Cutting Quality



The technological tables integrated in OPENCut are made up of 10 piercing lines and 10 cutting lines for each material and thickness. Additionally, there are functions to export, import and delete every material in the table database. OPENCut technology table parameters are managed using G-code macros, which are customizable both by the machine builder and by the PLC.

Features for Laser Cutting Machines

The OPENCut system is a complete modular solution customizable according to an original equipment manufacturer's needs. The system modules are from OPENCut and are specifically designed for the OPEN control OSAI CNC up to the multi-touch operator panel, drives and I/O systems controlled via EtherCAT or proprietary fieldbuses.

The OPENCut HMI and CAM software with 2-D and 3-D graphics for profile definition has predefined icon libraries and automatic nesting of different profiles. Utilizing advanced software modules and hardware components, OPENCut is designed to simplify installation, start-up and time to market, reported OSAI. Included in the OSAI system package are: graphic, multi-touch SW oriented HMI with 2-D and 3-D graphics for program execution control; easy-to-customize machine logic specifically designed for laser cutting machine operations; offset management compensation of bevel cutting parameters; 3-D cutting head control; newest version CNC OPENcontrol; drives connected via EtherCAT or proprietary fieldbuses; multi-tool heads management; and more.

Features for Plasma and Oxy-Fuel Cutting

OPENCut is also a CNC hardware/software solution for plasma and oxy-fuel cutting. With similar application features for laser cutting, OPENCut for plasma is designed to optimize start-up, productivity and cutting quality. The system comes complete with all elements needed for plasma 2-D, bevel and oxy-fuel cutting. The plasma generator system is available in 120, 250 and 420 amp sizes and equipped with an automatic gas console.
