Matsuura Machinery USA has announced Matsuura MX-330 5-axis vertical machining center (VMC).
The MX-330 delivers machining center versatility with a standard Matsuura-made high accuracy spindle of 15,000 RPM with 48 ft-lbs. of torque. Optional 15,000 RPM with 88 ft-lbs. of torque and 20,000 RPM with 80 ft-lbs. of torque are available.
"The Matsuura MX-330 is ideal for the medical and aerospace industries and other high precision components. The MX-330 offers an easy transition from 3-axis to 5-sided or 5-axis production," said Matsuura Machinery USA President Craig St. John.
The MX-330 is compact, requiring floor space of 6.1' wide x 10' long and helps to ensure rigidity with a large machining area and a table loading capacity of 177 lbs.
The machine's maximum work envelope is 330 mm h X 320 mm h. The MX-330 is designed with a RAM type structure, which offers a compact and durable machining platform. Available tool magazines include standard 30 tool drum and optional 60 and 90 tool chains.
The MX-330 will also feature a 10 pallet changer, available by the end of 2016. "This optional pallet changer is unique, making the pallets common with the MAM72-35V," said a company spokesperson.
The MX-330 comes standard with a FANUC 31iMB with PANEL-I Control. The FANUC 31iMB with PANEL-I Control is designed to be user-friendly.
"The MX-330 5-axis VMC is suitable for small parts, but can handle parts up to 13 inches d X 11.8 inches h and weighing up to 177 lbs.," St. John added.
