October 1, 2016
Sharp Industries, Inc. has introduced a robotic arm system by FANUC to be the integrated automation package for its vertical machining center (VMC).
The FANUC Model M-10iA/12 has six axes including three wrist axes rotation. Maximum load capacity is 26.4 lbs. and the equipment weight is 286 lbs. The arm design along with servo technology enable increased acceleration, decreased cycle time and high productivity.
The robot can be integrated with the Sharp SV-2414-F vertical machining center (VMC). This box way design model features travel of 24" x 14" x 18" on a 28" x 13.8" table. The CAT-40 spindle is equipped with a 15 HP FANUC servomotor, Big Plus spindle with 12,000 RPM spindle speed and 24 tools capacity for the automatic tool change. This machine has a small footprint of 79" x 85" and is controlled by the FANUC Oi-MD control. A high speed linear guideway model is also available in the SVL-2416SX.
