Compact Chip Conveyor Filters Coolant to 50 um

The new LNS SFcompact chip conveyor (available September, 2016) filters coolant to 50 µm and handles a variety of chip types and sizes, from stringy stainless steel to fine brass and aluminum.
"Instead of using a drum-based design, SF compact uses patented, self-cleaning dual filters that can be removed, if necessary, in 15 minutes after removing the chip conveyor," said a company spokesperson.
Because the filtering system is integrated within the rigid frame, SFcompact takes up no more floor space than a typical hinge-belt conveyor and, in most cases, will work with the existing coolant tank.
SFcompact's self-cleaning dual filters help eliminate the problem of chips wrapping around a drum, thus causing blockages, damage and machine tool downtime. It is designed for machining a wide range of materials that produce a variety of chip sizes and types.
