Small Parts Batch Deburring
July 1, 2016
"The sPINner machine quickly batch deburrs dozens of small parts. sPINner pin media deburrs where other media cannot reach," said a company spokesperson. It removes light burrs and whiskers from holes, slots, threads, cross-holes and internal cavities. The sPINner is designed for parts in the medical field, Swiss turned, drilled or threaded parts, machined or stamped parts.
The sPINner can batch deburr many small precision parts. This includes ferrous and non-ferrous parts.
The stainless steel pin media utilized in the sPINner removes light burrs and flash without harming the part. Because the media is magnetically activated it can deburr internal cavities, slots, holes and even blind holes. All parts are then automatically demagnetized at the end of the cycle.
To operate the machine, set up deburring containers. Multiple containers can be used to increase capacity. Place the pin media and parts into a container and fill with water until the parts are submerged. Add PFS-747 deburring solution at a 50:1 ratio. Set the time, speed and duration and press the start button. The sPINner alarm will sound when deburring is complete. Typical deburring duration is 10-20 minutes. Each sPINner includes adjustable speed and intensity controls with programmable timers for each direction.
The sPINner media is available in sizes from 0.2 mm diameter to 2.0 mm diameter. The length is from 5 mm to 10 mm. The stainless steel media is hardened to HRC 30 with a magnetic treatment that enhances deburring action. The media is sold in 2.2 lb. packages.
