Yula Corporation Celebrates 90 Years in Business
July 1, 2016
Yula Corporation is celebrating its 90th year in business by scheduling a number of media events to commemorate this accomplishment. The website www.yulacorp.com will include a special page containing historical photos and vintage advertisements. Yula will participate in several 2016 trade shows and events, highlighting its 90th anniversary with promotional displays and other special items.
The Bronx-located company began in 1926 as Yula Water Heaters and later became Yula Corporation. It is now in its third generation of family ownership and management. Yula designs and manufactures a variety of shell and tube heat exchangers and other pressure vessels in a wide range of materials. Yula holds numerous certifications for national and international codes/standards.
Yula Corporation gets its name from its founder, Henry Yula. The Feldman family has owned and operated Yula since 1970. Irwin Feldman, along with his two sons, Larry and Fred, grew the company from its commercial/HVAC roots in the 1960s to industrial markets in the 1970s. The company was able to distinguish itself as a high quality supplier to the chemical process market in the 70s and 80s and eventually defined itself as a designer and manufacturer of sanitary heat exchangers for the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
Fred's sons, Jason and Michael, and Larry's son, Matthew, make up the third generation of Feldmans, continuing the company's legacy of quality designed and manufactured product.
