New Horizontal Boring Machine for Oil and Gas Industry
June 1, 2015
Soraluce America, in conjunction with AmTTech in Houston, TX, is introducing the KB-150-WR horizontal boring machine to the North American market. The KB-150-WR was developed by Soraluce and Jack Butts, President of AmTTech, to meet the demands of the oil and gas industry.
AmTTech is an exclusive Texas distributor for the Soraluce product line. The KB-150-WR is fully installed and under power at AmTTech's facility located at 10010 Houston Oaks Drive, Houston, TX.
"The KB-150-WR horizontal boring machine is a T-Type machine that gives customers access to maximum efficiency for multi-face machining of large work pieces. The KB-150-WR horizontal boring machine is a robust, precision solution that changes the game in milling and boring by providing an efficient and durable state-of-the-art machine that can meet a wide assortment of machining requirements," said Jack Butts.
"The rigid quill spindle is mounted in large angular contact bearings that are lubricated with an air-oil system. The spindle design is matched to an oversized ram for efficient machining in extended reach applications. The machine offers high performance with 787 IPM rapid rates, high axis feed forces, a 5.9" quill with 31.5" of travel and a large ram with 40" of stroke, for a combined total Z-axis stroke of 71.5". All of these combine to provide heavy stock removal capacity with high rigidity," said Mr. Butts.
The new Soraluce machine will be introduced to customers and dealers June 15-25 at the AmTTech facility in Houston, TX. June 16 will be a dealer day for all of the Soraluce dealers in the U.S. Others interested in seeing the machine demonstrated can contact AmTTech for more information.
