Shot Peen Equipment Added in Response to Industry Demands

PTI Industries has responded to the demands of today's manufacturers with the addition of a new shot peen machine. "The new equipment has a dual media capacity that allows for a quick change of shot peen types, giving customers the competitive edge with more efficient production times and faster turnaround," said a company spokesperson.
The new machine's dual media capacity involves 6-axis robotics and visual shot peen software designed to use different size shot peen media in back-to-back processes. "Industries requiring shot peen service, including the growing aerospace market, will also have a larger part size capacity (1,000 lbs.) with the new machine," said the spokesperson.
The machine accommodates parts up to 40" x 40". "It uses only high-quality, conditioned, cut wire steel shot for its high durability and consistency in particle size and shape," said the spokesperson. "PTI meets critical manufacturing process needs by providing cost-effective solutions to multiple process requirements, and it has an in-house machine shop to make the required tooling for its shot peen and other services."
