Technical Symposia Cover Technology, Manufacturing and Business Practices

SMI Metal Engineering eXpo, hosted by Spring Manufacturers Institute, will feature in-depth technical symposia providing practical information for spring making, wire and metal forming professionals.
The inaugural show will be held in Charlotte, NC, on October 19-22, 2015. According to the company, the event will provide a forum for education and discussion on every part of the spring making and wire forming process from design to manufacturing. Industry professionals, suppliers, floor managers, machinery operators and customers will gain access to the latest business, technology and market trends.
Industry experts will lead symposia such as, "Machine Set-Up: Coil and Grind" and "Software Integration to Manufacturing" within the following six tracks:

- Business Practices
- Culture, Leadership and Motivation
- Manufacturing
- Materials and Testing
- Technology.
"We really want to assemble a comprehensive educational program, because right now, there is nothing on this scale in North America," said Lynne Carr, Executive Director of Spring Manufacturers Institute (SMI).
