Mobile Machine Monitoring Tool

Starrag connect: every single machine produced by the Starrag Group can now be monitored on a smart phone, tablet or PC.
Delicate components for luxury watches, extremely long aluminium aircraft components, heavy-duty turbine blades and gigantic propeller blades for submarines - all are produced on machines made by the Starrag Group of Switzerland. But despite all their differences, these machines now all have one common denominator: every single machine produced by the Starrag Group can now be monitored on a smart phone, tablet or PC using the new Starrag connect system.
The Swiss Starrag Group has developed a universally deployable system that runs on all standard computers, mobile devices and browsers, regardless of platform and operating system (including Windows, Apple iOS and Android). Starrag connect can be used as a stand-alone solution for individual machine tools or as a tool integrated into the company's own IT network. Users can make use of the easily configurable and easily serviced system to call up a wide variety of important information via WLAN or Ethernet.
This is a versatile tool, providing all kinds of functions. The functions range from displaying the machine status along with current machine performance figures, to producing data so that overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) can be analyzed. With Starrag connect the entire pool of an enterprise's installed machine tools from the Starrag Group can be administered centrally. Authorizations to access data can be individually assigned. The system also provides users with access to full machine documentation. Preventive maintenance becomes a much easier task due to the tool's ability to display alarms, error messages and service data.
Starrag connect is easy and flexible to use and can be personalized. It is a scalable solution for individual machines and also for large machine pools. And when it comes to mobile use, there is no need to install any apps or similar on the end device - an HTML 5 capable browser is all that is required. Moreover, administrators can configure the user interface to suit the intended application. Plant operators can also arrange for access to machine data to be made available via an API interface for their own applications or for an ERP system such as SAP. Data is saved on the central server which means that there is no need for manual data updates, because the machine tools transmit the data automatically. The load on the corporate IT network is low because once the data has been saved for the first time, the machine tools reload data automatically only after a change. High network security is assured by the "one-way street" connectivity, by which data can be transmitted only from machine tool to server.
