Chuck Series Features Precision and Repeatability
June 1, 2015
SMW Autoblok's TX Series, the TX-RV and the TX-C, are high precision pull-down chucks with a rigid 3-jaw design featuring repeatability within 0.0005". The series is designed for parallelism and productivity.
The TX Series utilizes centrifugal force compensation for both inner diameter and outer diameter clamping with high demand for parallelism. "With active pull-down, these chucks perform three operations: the pre-clamping function centralizes the chuck, the workpiece is then pulled down onto locators and it clamps firmly into place. Its constant grip force and long lifetime ensure constant quality of workpieces," said a company spokesperson.
The TX-C is a tongue and groove chuck, while the TX-RV is a quick jaw change chuck. Both the TX-C and the TX-RV allow for milling and turning on the same chuck.
According to the company, the TX Series comes fully sealed as part of the Proofline Series of chucks. The permanent lubrication in these oil filled chucks helps maintain consistent grip force.
