The new NXV1020AM was developed for all types of die mold machining. Equipped with a 15,000 RPM, 20 HP low vibration IDD spindle and specialized P12 pitch ball screws, the NXV1020AM is designed to provide enhanced cutting accuracy through optimal structural design with high dampening affects.
The NXV1020AM incorporates XYZ travels of 40" x 20" x 21" for extra working capacity to meet larger die mold requirements. "Equipped with oversized linear guideways, the NXV1020AM ensures the optimal balance between machining rigidity and accuracy," said a company spokesperson. "The NXV1020AM is equipped with a dual face contact 40 taper IDD direct-drive spindle ensuring high cutting rigidity with minimal spindle growth and vibration. Included in the standard package is a spindle cooling system with oil-air mist lubrication to the main bearings, extending spindle and machine life at high-speed operations. The NXV is complemented with a high-speed 24 tool (30 optional) double arm type ATC system, making it ideal for long or short production run times."
Equipped with a FANUC MXP-200FA (OiMD), the YCM enhanced CNC controller comes with standard functions like AICCII, 200 block look ahead and a 0.2 millisecond block processing. The I-OPERATION PLUS II software, designed by YCM, provides tool load monitoring and tool life software specially designed for long running die mold applications. The M-300 high-performance machining mode, offered exclusively by YCM, enables fast machining efficiency for roughing operations and enhanced accuracy for finishing operations.
