SteelWind Industries Expands Heat Treat Services

SteelWind Industries, Inc., a steel fabrication company, will be adding new equipment to its current heat treating services and is looking to purchase additional businesses in an effort to grow the company.

SteelWind is adding two new natural gas fired furnaces, capable of reaching temperatures of 2,000 °F, to cost effectively run smaller parts and deliver fast turnaround times on jobs.

With the new add-ons, Steelwind Industries will have a total of eight furnaces ranging in size from 12' long to 80' long capable of handling up to 1 million pounds. SteelWind also added an additional quench tank capacity to increase the company's ability to quench parts up to 35' long.

"We are using this time to prepare for increased demand into the future," said Vice President Jason Geiger. "We are also seeking additional businesses or product lines to acquire that would complement our core capabilities in fabrication, heat treat, blast, paint, machining and assembly. Ideally, a business that we can add on to our current facility where we can perform all processes from fabrication to completed product."

SteelWind Industries is a large capacity Midwest metal fabrication company offering extensive metal fabrication, including mining equipment, tanks and architectural metal fabrication. SteelWind Industries is also the fabricator of the Miller Park Retractable Roof. In addition to metal fabrication, it offers machining, heat treating, sand blasting and industrial painting.
