Free CNC 8060 Simulator

Fagor Automation Corporation is now offering a free CNC 8060 Simulator that is available on the Fagor Automation corporate website.

"The 8060 Simulator allows for a host of capabilities, including a powerful and intuitive editor that allows users to create programs offline utilizing a host of software tools designed to ensure easy and trouble free program creation," said a company spokesperson. "This includes an interactive editor that allows the user to choose the type of operation they require in an interactive method. The CNC then prompts a graphic example of the operation and allows for seamless variable entry through a question and answer fill in the blank format.

"As an advanced feature, the simulator allows users to set up the simulator and specific machine tool are configured utilizing a library of parameters, hence all considerations of the type of machine, axes travels and machine dynamics are taken into consideration during the program creation and simulation of the finished program. The simulator even takes into account the feeds and acceleration/deceleration of the machine tool during the simulation, thus providing accurate machining cycle time estimates.

"Upon completion, users may quickly upload and download programs to the CNC machine tool. There are no program size limitations that can be created or uploaded to the CNC. The simulator is available for most conventional milling and turning machine tool configurations. A more advanced commercial version capable of more advanced machine configurations will be available within the near future."

This free 8060 Simulator is designed to be a useful tool for:

  • Technical trainings
  • Editing/simulation in design departments
  • Machining cycle time estimates
  • Quotation preparation
  • Shop floor sitdown program creation for the operator while machine is in active executing program.
