New Box Way CNC Slant Bed Lathes

Ganesh Machinery has announced its new line of Ganesh ASL model box way slant bed CNC lathes. According to the company, the CNC lathes are made of high quality materials and especially designed for heavy metal removal, superior cut capabilities and more.

The four new Ganesh ASL models include:

• ASL-8 CNC lathe: 8" 3-jaw hydraulic chuck w/2.5" through bore, 20" swing over bedways, 12.5" swing over saddle, 22" and 39" turning lengths
• ASL-10 CNC lathe: 10" 3-jaw hydraulic chuck w/3" through bore, 20" swing over bedways, 12.5" swing over saddle, 22" and 39" turning lengths
• ASL-15 CNC lathe: 15" 3-jaw hydraulic chuck w/4" through bore, 24" swing over bedways, 15" swing over saddle, 19.6" maximum turning diameter, 27" / 47" / 66" / 86" / 118" turning lengths
• ASL-20 CNC lathe: 20" 3-jaw hydraulic chuck w/6.5" through hole, 29" swing over bedways, 23" swing over saddle, 21" cutting diameter, available with 29", 47", 68", 88" and 125" Z-axis travel.

The new machines offer the following standard features:

• Renishaw tool pre-setter - Designed to help reduce set-up time
• True slant-bed lathe design - Meehanite processed cast iron 45° true slant bed design for improved vibration dampening and tool life
• Programmable tailstock body - Hydraulic piston moves tailstock body without having to stop the machine for internal machining
• Programmable tailstock and quill - Maintains consistent and adjustable pressure to the workpiece for proper support
• Parts catcher and parts conveyor - Promotes uninterrupted machining efficiency by removing finished piece to the foot of the machine
• Chip wash-down and chip conveyor - Chips are forced to the right side of the machine to streamline maintenance
• Coolant oil skimmer unit - Increases machine's productivity by mitigating maintenance interruptions and prolonging coolant life
• Auto power shut off - Increases production capabilities by automatically shutting down the machine once a long program is complete
• Ball-bar testing - Geometric ball-bar test and laser inspection technology used on each model to ensure the machine meets Ganesh's long-term production, accuracy and performance standards.
