Arthur Machinery-Florida recently introduced the DMC America CNC machines to the Florida and Puerto Rico markets. DMC is a South Korean machine tool builder who has been supplying accessory products such as hydraulic units, spindle chillers and chip conveyors to machine tool builders for over 70 years. In the past 30 years, DMC has been an OEM sub-contractor building machines for major Korean and Japanese builders.
DMC is now marketing under its own DMC brand and introduced the machines to the U.S. market at IMTS 2012. Its U.S. headquarters is located in South Elgin, IL, with established dealers throughout the U.S. Arthur Machinery-Florida has sent sales and engineering personnel to DMC for training.
Arthur Machinery-Florida's 12,000 sq. ft. facility in Tampa provides DMC with a local showroom and full-service and engineering support. Presently, there are both DMC vertical machining centers and DMC turning centers in Arthur's showroom.
Fanuc CNC controls, 10,000 or 12,000 RPM spindle speeds, coolant thru spindle, spindle chillers, 30 tool automatic tool changers, parts catchers and chip conveyors are just a few of the features DMC offers on its machining centers. Both linear guide way and box way model lathes are also available from DMC. Many of the previously built DMC machines are in operation in the U.S., sold by other builders.
"It is refreshing to work with a builder managed by machine tool people. Johnny Seo, President of DMC America, has a long history marketing machines in the U.S.," said Bob Arthur.
