Sealed Absolute Linear Encoders with Mitsubishi Interface

The new absolute LC 195M and LC 495M sealed linear encoders from Heidenhain are now available for use on machines that require a Mitsubishi interface.

These new encoders improve upon Heidenhain's LC xx3 series, as the LC 195M/495M now focus on the requirements for purely serial absolute systems for Mitsubishi drive components. The transmission speed of the Mitsubishi interface has increased from 2.5 MHz to 5 MHz. The original series was introduced in 2012 with the purely serial Endat 2.2 (up to 16 MHz) encoder version.

Two successive pairs of sealing lips on the LC 195M provide an extra layer of protection against contamination of the DIADUR graduation, which is responsible for the positioning accuracy. The resolution of the LC 195M and the LC 495M with an accuracy grade of 3 um is 1 nm.
