Formlabs has added two new materials, Clear Cast Resin and BEGO VarseoSmile TriniQ Resin, and a suite of post-processing solutions, including Formlabs Resin Washing Solution, Fuse Blast Polishing System and Fuse Sift Glovebox Bundle, to expand 3D printing applications for users to achieve customer-ready parts.
New materials expand the Formlabs ecosystem with new applications, such as investment casting applications. Clear Cast Resin has already been proven in decreasing turnaround times and improving iterating flexibility for beta-user Diversified Casting the company reported. BEGO VarseoSmile TriniQ Resin is Formlabs' first third-party Certified Dental Material that can be accessed through Open Material Mode, which provides an accurate and efficient workflow for permanent and provisional restorations and bridges.
In addition to new materials, new SLS and SLA post-processing solutions optimize 3D printing workflows to achieve final, end-use parts. These include:
- Formlabs Resin Washing Solution: A nonflammable solution for cleaning resin off of 3D printed parts that, according to the company, dissolves twice as much resin before becoming saturated compared to IPA.
- Fuse Blast Polishing System: Fuse Blast Polishing System is an upgrade to the Fuse Blast and cleans and polishes parts straight from the Fuse Sift. Users can now add a smooth, semi-gloss, scuff-resistant and dye-ready surface finish to their SLS printed parts.
- Fuse Sift Glovebox Bundle: Fuse Sift Glovebox Panel and Fuse Parts Carrier improve workplace and operator cleanliness by streamlining Fuse Sift part extraction to minimize powder exposure for a faster, more ergonomic workflow.
