Large Toolholding Solutions at WITS

REGO-FIX will showcase the latest addition to its powRgrip (PG) toolholding system-designed specifically for large-tool applications up to 1.5" or 40 mm-at the Wichita Industrial Trade Show (WITS) 2023, October 17-19, in booth 314/316 at the Century II Expo Hall in Wichita, KS.

"A suitable large toolholding solution for any industry, the PG 48 tool setting system is particularly beneficial for aerospace and space manufacturers that process large parts composed of difficult materials," said a company spokesperson. "Due to the robust nature of the tools and applications it is designed for, the PG 48 line includes the REGO-FIX secuRgrip locking nut on all toolholders to ensure tools are unable to pull out in the roughest of cuts."

The new PG 48 uses a specially designed PGU tool setting machine that applies up to 16 tons of clamping pressure to secure a tool in less than 10 seconds. "As with the company's standard powRgrip line, the PG 48 design provides excellent vibration damping and will maintain total indicated runout (TIR) of less than 0.0001 in. through five years or 20,000 cycles with no erosion of impregnated surface treatment," said the spokesperson. "The powRgrip system absorbs vibration better than nonmechanical heat shrink holders and are safer with no toolsetting heat, chemicals or fumes. With powRgrip, tools are ready to use immediately after the clamping cycle is completed."

WITS attendees will be able to see the REGO-FIX powRgrip line along with its new PG 48 variant during the show's regular hours: Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1-7 PM; Wednesday, Oct. 18, 9 AM to 6 PM; and Thursday, Oct. 19, 9 AM to 4 PM. Century II Expo Hall is located at 225 W Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS.
