Fives Machining Systems-Cincinnati Names CEO
June 1, 2022
Fives Machining Systems, Inc.-Cincinnati has named Harold Schoch CEO.
Schoch began his apprenticeship with the American Tool Works Company in 1979. After leaving American Tool, he followed in his great grandfather George Schoch's steps and joined the LeBlond Machine Tool Company, where he continued to sharpen his craft and become more rounded in multiple facets of the machine tool industry.
During Schoch's career, he gained experience on the production floor, in field service and in various management roles, eventually leading to the position of Vice President of Re-Machine & Retrofit Company for 16 years. His experience at Re-Machine & Retrofit Company prepared him for senior leadership and eventually led to the start of his family business-Machine Tool Solutions Unlimited. In 2009, Schoch was sought out by National Technologies Transfer to co-author the training manual that is being used by the Boeing Corporation at the Boeing Craft College in Auburn, WA.
Schoch was one of five business leaders on FANUC's Inaugural Authorized System Integrators Leadership Council and has used his relationships with Siemens to help Fives Machining Systems Inc. (Cincinnati, Giddings & Lewis and Machine Tool Services & Solutions) become a participant in the Siemens Solutions Partner program.
"I see us as the partner of choice in the manufacturing industry when it comes to increasing productivity through our high-quality machines, industry-leading fiber placement machines, innovative robotic solutions and our ability to rebuild and retrofit multiple brands of machine tools. Simply stated, we want to be viewed as an indispensable partner to our customers' success. I believe that with our team we will achieve this goal."
