A new composite machine designed and built by Bertsche USA features a fully enclosed machining compartment with integral modular automatic fixturing system for machining a family of parts.
A high volume dust extraction system offers maximum composite extraction in the work area. All major moving components are located out of the work area for long operation. The rigid machine features high feed forces, acceleration and thermally stable bed for long life in demanding environments.
The machine is available in 3-, 4- and 5-axis configurations. Standard XYZ travels are 7 m, 1 m and 1.1 m. Automatic lock down fixtures (patent pending) allow for seamless part loading of two different family of parts on either side of the 4th axis tombstone.
Available options include standalone T-slot table, rotary A-axis for long cylindrical parts and custom fixture design including vacuum fixturing.
