FlexQube Insources Distribution and Assembly for North America

FlexQube Inc. has insourced the assembly and distribution operations from its previous subcontractor in Georgia and moved to a new plant with its own operations in Duncan, SC.

FlexQube will, as a result of this insourcing operation, grow to about 20 employees, among them new team members in assembly and picking, and team members for management, planning and purchasing functions. To further strengthen its presence in the USA, FlexQube is also recruiting additional sales staff.

"To have distribution and assembly in our own hands means we can increase our capacity, improve our on-time deliveries and improve quality," said CEO Anders Fogelberg. "We also get a better opportunity to conduct more product tests and demo shows for existing and potential customers, which is especially crucial for our autonomous eQart concept and the Liftrunner Tugger Trains. The site in South Carolina is also strategically located close to some of our largest customers in the USA. To insource our operations will also have a positive effect on our ability to broaden our supplier base, improve our gross margin and through improved efficiency in the supply chain reach our cost savings goals."
