Universal Milling Machine
October 1, 2020
"KNUTH Machine Tools USA has introduced a feature-packed, affordable universal milling machine, the VHF 3.2. The VHF 3.2 expands on the successful VHF series of horizontal/vertical milling machines and combines a large work surface with generous, servo driven power on all axes. Coupled with proven DRO technology mounted on an operator friendly stainless steel control panel with articulating arm, repeatability and precision are at the top of the features that drive the value of this machine," said a company spokesperson.
A large work table of 54" x 13" that can be swiveled, a variable speed 40 taper 5 HP vertical spindle with three quill speeds and a 40 taper 4 HP to 12 HP speed horizontal spindle offer flexibility and power. "The vertical spindle also features a tilt angle head, allowing for an extra dimension of machining not found on fixed head machines. The VHF 3.2 is an ideal machine for sensitive or demanding applications our customers face in the tool room, job shop and maintenance environments," said the spokesperson.
Construction is based on a fully cast and ribbed machine frame, reducing vibration for demanding milling applications. High quality components and electronics provide long-term reliability. Standard features such as a complete coolant system, central lubrication, along with a rapid traverse on all axes improve productivity for high throughput of parts.
