High-Speed Milling Center with Robotic Cell

Expand Machinery works with Mitsubishi and Productive Robots to provide fast and easy-to-operate automated parts loading and unloading solutions.
One example is the GENMILL T-500 and T-700 high speed milling, drilling and tapping center paired with a Mitsubishi robotic cell. The package includes an automated door, Mitsubishi RB7 robot, a set of grippers and full guarding. The Mitsubishi robot is interfaced right into the Mitsubishi control, so the customer does not have to program the robot separately. The cell can have multiple pallets and has additional tool capability for the machine, so multiple jobs can be run in one set-up. The T-500 and T-700 machines have a standard high-speed 21 station automatic tool changer, 12,000 RPM direct drive spindle and high-speed 2,362 IPM rapids.
Expand Machinery also works with all barfeeder and barloader companies to provide efficient custom barloader solutions for high-production applications. "Often, barfeeders and barloaders are the most cost-effective automation solution for production turning centers," said a company spokesperson. These packages are available on GENTURN Swiss and twin turret machines. The GENTURN series covers a bar diameter range from 3 mm to 76 mm.
One example is the GENTURN 32 CS 7-axis dual spindle CNC turn mill center packaged with an Edge Patriot 338 barfeeder. The Genturn 32 CS has 11 live tools, 27 total tools, full Y-axis, and C-axis on main and sub spindle.
