American Cladding Technologies Launches Business in East Granby, CT

"With the launch of American Cladding Technologies, a new era of innovation in laser metal deposition, also known as laser cladding, begins," said a company spokesperson. Previously a division of Joining Technologies, Inc., American Cladding Technologies is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Joining Technologies. Both companies are based in East Granby, CT.

"Joining Technologies' laser cladding division has been at the forefront of the fast-growing field of laser metal deposition," said a company spokesperson. "American Cladding Technologies will continue to bring pioneering technological advances to the field."

In the cladding operation, lasers are used to deposit powdered metal onto the surface of metal items such as tubes that need a wear or corrosion resistant coating. The laser metal deposition process has great adaptability and applications across many industries.

"We are very excited to start working in our new facility in East Granby," said Jeff Whittaker, President of American Cladding Technologies. "We are committed to growing in Connecticut and this expansion allows us to continue increasing both our capacity and our staff."

"Joining Technologies' laser cladding division has had great success as one of the pioneers in the field. Now, it is ready to focus on growing as the American Cladding Technologies subsidiary under Joining Technologies' mentorship," said Dave Hudson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Joining Technologies, Inc.

The new company's team of experts is dedicated to customer service and providing solutions for hardfacing overlays, corrosion-resistant overlays, original material restoration and other in-demand industry needs.

American Cladding Technologies specializes in providing precision services to the waste-to-energy power production industry, the aerospace industry, the valve industry, locomotives and industrial gas turbines.
